Dylan's studio versions are far better, esp those mid-60s things. He picked great musicians and subtly knows how to inflect his own writing. I think his songs were so strong is why GD covered Dylan so much.

Or maybe I gargled too much in the rat race choir.

See Dylan front the Dead was so strange, at least in Oakland because they played Truckin while he did Highway 61.
